This reports presents the key ideas of Emile Durkheim’s sociology of morality. It argues that this theoretical approach still has its relevance for understanding the moral underpinnings of state-citizen relationship in contemporary Sweden, and, thus, for understanding the mechanisms of social integration in a complex and diverse late modern society.
